Before the delegation of Ukrainian pilgrims performing Haj in 2012 came back home, Sheikh Abu-r-Rubb, head of the Shariah Committee affiliated with the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine (RAMU) “Ummah”, met Abdulaziz ibn Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Abdullatif Al-Ash-Sheikh, Supreme Mufti of Saudi Arabia.
A pilgrim group came back to Ukraine from Jeddah on November 6, 2012. After staying in holy lands for 18 days, joyful hajis have been coming back home, to their friends and relatives for whom they were restlessly supplicating (reciting dua) to the Most High.
Ceremonial opening of the mosque built by the local community of believers jointly with the All-Ukrainian Association of Public Organizations “Alraid” was held on Friday, November 2, 2012, in Veresayevo village (Saki district of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea). Opening of this mosque adds to the long list of mosques built or reconstructed with “Alraid” contribution in the region with nearly 500,000 Tatar residents confessing Islam.

The Ukrainian delegation left Medina on October 22, after the morning prayer, and set off to Mekkah, to have time for performing Umrah before the beginning of Hajj days on October 24.
Oktober 22, 2012 marked the stone-laying ceremony for the mosque in Okhotnikovo village located in the Saki district. The construction supervisor is the All-Ukrainian Association of Public Organizations “Alraid”, with assistance from the Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea and the Muslim community of Saki town. The mosque is designed to accommodate 250 families of parishioners residing in this and nearby villages.
On Friday, October 26, 2012, Muslim communities of Donetsk, Lugansk, Kharkov, Odessa, Vinnitsa, Zaporozhiye, Kiev and other Ukrainian cities will be celebrating Kurban-Bayram.
Elections to the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2012. Their results will have strong effects for the future of us and the whole Ukrainian society, of which Muslims are an integral part.
