Id Al-Adha Solemnly started Festive Sermon

On November, 16th, 2010 Muslims of all over the world celebrate the Day of Sacrifice — Id al-Adha. In the Islamic Social Cultural Centre of
Kiev the festive prayer gathered about 1500 Muslims.

Sheikh Imad Abu Ar-Rub, the Imam and Khatyb of the ICC, addressing the gathered, told about the value and role of this great holiday in life of believers. "We congratulate Muslims of Ukraine and the whole world on the greatest holiday of Id al-Adha. Presence on this prayer is a part of worship to Allah the Almighty, when millions of Muslims come to Makkah, making pilgrimage rituals, our duty before the Lord is to spend in worship ten days of the holy month of Zul-Hijja, which wreath is the holiday of Kurban Bayram, sacrifice in this day and distribution of sacrificial meat to the poor and needy. We ask Allah the Almighty blessing and prosperity for
Ukraine and its inhabitants!" Sheikh Imad finished with the prayer to the Lord the festive sermon.

On the termination of the festive sermon, addressing to correspondents of the Ukrainian television channels, the chairman of the all-Ukraine Association of Social Organizations "Аlraid", Ismail Kadi, addressing to the public, congratulated all Ukrainians on the great holiday of Kurban-Bayram. "This significant day I wish to congratulate all on the holiday which bears in itself peace, care, kindness and love", Kadi generalized his words.

The sacrifice holiday will last for 4 days. In the following 3 days Muslims, as a rule, visit relatives, friends, distribute meat and gather for collective prayers in mosques.
