“We’ve read about you on Facebook!”  — those were the greetings of the representatives of the “Volunteers Hundred” at the Military Hospital when they saw guests from Kyiv ICC with a large box of homemade dumplings. Indeed, the posting by Mufti of RAMU “Umma” Said Ismagilov, who shot a picture of Muslim women from Women’s Social Organisation “Maryam” in process of dumpling-making for the soldiers wounded in the ATO-zone. His posting on Facebook gained a lot of views, reposts and a barrage of approval and gratitude in the comments.

THe treat, however, reached the fighters on Monday evening, as boiling 750 dumplings took the whole day. Besides, the volunteers brought homemade borshch (Ukrainian traditional soup), sour cream, homemade baked stuffed buns and some apples, the source of vitamins and fibre.

During their last visit, the Muslims attended the Ophthalmology department, this time is was the department of Psychiatry. They also brought some adult diapers for the “Volunteer Hundred”, so that to make the care for the serious patients easier.

This benefit will be held on a permanent basis. You can participate by either coming to the ICC on  each Saturday morning and join the cooking process or cook something on your own at home and then bring it to the ICC before Monday morning.

The patients of the Military Hospital were wounded while protecting all of us. Let’s help them recreate and show them they aren’t forgotten by their people!
