Today, at 9am, from the Islamic Social Cultural centre the final third group of Ukrainian pilgrims went to Hajj. 40 persons left for the airport Borispol, their travel to Islam holy sites whence began.


At the airport together with representatives of the Association "Аlraid" the pilgrims were seen off by the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of
Saudi Arabia in
Ukraine, Mr. Judiya Alhazal, and the consul of the Kingdom Mr. Abdulmajid Al-Dausari. It is necessary to notice that for the first time all procedure of official registration of papers passed in
Ukraine, it was promoted by opening of diplomatic representatives of the
Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia in
Kiev.

On the occasion of departure of the Ukrainian delegation of pilgrims at the airport there were journalists of several Ukrainian television channels. In the interview to the television channel "Inter" the chairman of the AUASO "Alraid", Ismail Kadi, expressed hope that the number of Ukrainian Muslims, wishing to perform pilgrimage, will increase.

On a question of the journalist, what the Ukrainian Muslims will ask the Almighty, Mr. Kadi answered, "I asked that the pilgrims, being close to Kaaba, prayed for the sake of Ukrainian people, well-being and prosperity on the Ukrainian land".

In transit through
Istanbul the pilgrims will arrive to the city of
Jidda (
Saudi Arabia), and then by bus they will go to Makkah. In the city of Al-Haram mosque two more groups of Ukrainian Muslims who arrived to
Medina (
Saudi Arabia) 5 days earlier will join them.

Let us remind, this year the delegation of the Ukrainian pilgrims went to Makkah for performance of Hajj from different regions of
Ukraine totaling 190 persons, among them there were 39 women that is the largest quantity for the whole history of the independent
Ukraine.
