In the beginning of November millions of Muslims from every corner of the globe go to Hajj — pilgrimage to the main relic of Islam, the holy Kaaba in the city of
Makkah.

This year the delegation of Ukrainian pilgrims from different regions of
Ukraine consisting of 190 persons goes to Makkah for fulfillment of Hajj. Among them there are 39 women that is the greatest quantity for the whole history of independent
Ukraine.

The first group of pilgrims (100 people) gathers at 8.30am on Friday, November, 5th, in the terminal "B" of the airport Borispol. One more group of pilgrims departs from
Donetsk. Departure of the third group (40 people) will take place on Wednesday, on November, 10th, at 9am from the Islamic Social Cultural Centre of Kiev. (Dehtyarevskaya Street, 25).

Among pilgrims there are some Ukrainian married couples which wish to carry out this ceremony together.

Council of Religious Administrations and Centers of Muslims of Ukraine at the State Committee of Ukraine on Affairs of Nationalities and Religions is engaged in preparation and sending of the Ukrainian pilgrims.

The Council co-ordinated the Ukrainian quotas with the Ministry of Affairs of Hajj of the
Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia for two years and intends to take active part in the organization of Hajj for Muslims of Ukraine in the future.

Hajj is the greatest ceremony of worship in Islam which at least once in a life-time should be performed by every believer.
