Meeting with the Scientific Brainpower of Crimea in Simferopol Islamic Cultural Center

Kyiv. - A meeting with the scientific brainpower of Crimea, devoted to Science Day in Ukraine was held in Islamic Cultural Center in Simferopol on the 28th of May.

Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Institute of oriental studies after A. Krymskiy and All-Ukrainian Association of Social Organizations took the lead in the cultural event.

The invitees, among which there were political scientists, sociologists, legal scholars, orientalists, historians, philologists and official people, had an opportunity to take part in the discussion titled “Ways of Interethnic and Interconfessional Relationship Harmonization in Crimea”.

A. I. Aibabin, the head of Crimean Department of Oriental Studies Institute of National Academy of Science of Ukraine, professor, doctor of historical science, Ramzi F. Hawagy - permanent vice-representative of the President in Crimea and the Chairman of All-Ukrainian Association of Social Organizations “Alraid” in Simferopol, Muhammad Taha were in the capacity of the meeting presenters.

Different topics, including problems of cultural exchange and dialogue between the nations of Crimea, Islamic view on international relations were broached during the discussion at the panel (round table).

Those present have discussed the historical facts, broached questions of cultural heritage of nations of Crimea, mechanisms of organization and coordination of relations between Crimean tatars and representatives of other communities.

Representatives of “Alraid” proposed to give a special attention to national and religious identification in order to deepen the civilized dialogue, which is of the utmost importance for multi-national Crimea.

Souvenirs were given to all participants at the end of the event.
