A delegation of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine (RAMU) “Ummah” who are activists of the Kiev Islamic Cultural Center has visited several local boarding schools and orphan houses. The visitors had opportunity of being introduced to their operating specifics and talking to children.
Visitors went to meetings not empty-handed; charitable distribution of sports articles meant to increase sports facilities of the schools and houses was timed to the visits, to gain as much as possible benefit from them.
Children, for whom plays in open air are not only joyful, but beneficial, were very happy to receive balls for football, volleyball and basketball, and kits of badminton rackets.  It was very exciting for them to talk to unusual guests, as gifts were given by female activists from the mosque of the Islamic Cultural Center in Kiev.
Absence of a common language could not be a barrier for talk; a small deaf-and-dumb boy showed the visitors not understating the language of gestures how joyfully he and his friends would play football with a gifted ball.
It was words of Allah the Most High said in the Koran that inspired Muslims to come to orphan houses: “You shall worship none but Allah; be good to your parents, relatives, orphans” (Koran, 2:83).
