Quarterly Delivery of Grants to Orphan Children in Crimean Branch of AUASO "Аlraid"

On March, 3rd and 4th, 2012, in the Crimean branch of the AUASO "Аlraid" located on Mokrousov street, 7, in Simferopol,  took place a traditional quarterly delivery of grants for orphan-children deprived of fatherly guardianship owing to various vital circumstances. Trustees of such children come from all ends of the Crimean peninsula.

"Аlraid" Association carries out scale work in selection of sponsors for rendering assistance to the Crimean needy families and orphan children through public and welfare funds. In the Holy Quran the importance of help to the orphan is emphasized several times, “And He found thee wondering, and He gave thee guidance. And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, Nor repulse the petitioner (unheared)” (The Holy Quran, 93:7–10); and also, “Seest thou one who denies the Judgment (to come)? Then such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness), And encourages not the feeding of the indigent” (The Holy Quran, 107:1–3). 

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) again and again reminded of extreme importance of this action, having stated, “In paradise I will be so (close) to the trustee of an orphan” — then he made a sign by his index and middle fingers, having parted them (Al-Buhari); and also, “Allah will not be merciful to the one who does not display mercy to the people” (Al-Buhari, Muslim).

There are two basic trends of activity of the AUASO "Alraid":

Educational —organisation and carrying out of culturally-improving summer camps for Muslim youth and children, informative seminars and debates on Islamic subjects, release of a monthly newspaper in two languages, books, brochures, audio- and a video production about Islam;

Charitable — monetary help to the needy citizens of Ukraine (not only to Muslims), orphan children, carrying out of Muslim holidays and other activity in this sphere. 

For selection of a sponsor for the purpose of rendering assistance trustees of an orphan submit the established package of documents to the Association and expect the moment when for this child there will be a sponsor in the one of Muslim countries. However, the answer can be negative on what all trustees are notified in advance.

Performing work on official registration of papers, search of sponsors and delivery of grants, employees of the Association "Аlraid" hope first of all for award from the Almighty who said in the Holy Quran, “Help ye one another in righteousness and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancour” (The Holy Quran, 5:2). 

The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “In love, mercy and sympathy in relation to each other, believers are similar to a uniform body: when one parts of it is hurt, the whole body responds on it with sleeplessness and fever”. (Al-Buhari, Muslim); and also, “Muslims are brothers, and they should neither oppress, nor betray each other. To the one who will help his brother with his need, Allah will help with his need; the one who will relieve a Muslim of a grief,  Allah will relieve him one of grieves of the Resurrection Day; and the one who will cover a Muslim, Allah will cover him in the Resurrection Day” (Al-Buhari, Muslim). It is an extremely important stimulus for sincere Muslims.

Except for material, "Alraid" also renders other kinds of help to orphan children: invites them to informative and improving excursions, organizes and carries out summer youth camps, solemn celebratory concerts and many other things.
