FIOE: A Camp for New Muslim Women in the Ukraine

“Purifying the soul is very important before introducing Islam to others” – with these words Fatma Amr the head of the Women’s Work Department at Al Raed, the Federation of Social Organizations, summarized the objectives of the 2^nd annual camp for new Muslim women in the Ukraine, which was organized by the department from the 30^th of April to the 5^th of May 2010 under the sponsorship of the International Organization for New Muslims.

Dr.Ismail Al Kady spoke of the best practices in introducing Islam saying that the behavior of a Muslim and his positive interactions with others expresses the tolerance of Islam and its greatness. The camp was keen on portraying this fact to the attendees.

The camp was held in a resort outside the capital city of Kiev, and was attended by around 50 women from the surrounding regions most of whom entered Islam in 2009 or 2010.
