Ukrainian universities and even schools prefer to go beyond the borders of theory lately, and provide their students with an opportunity to gain knowledge not only from the books. The same goes for religious studies, as overlearning lots of de-personalized facts that will be forgotten soon after exams are over is one thing, and getting in touch with something new and meeting the live “illustrations” for those facts that are to be easily recalled when remembering your acquaintance is something completely different. “Alraid” Islamic Cultural Centres are always open for cooperation with educational institutions, and always welcome teachers and their students.

Zaporizhzhya ICC is no exception. It’s already become a tradition for professors of Zaporizhzhya State Medical University and Zaporizhzhya National Technological university to bring their students to the ICC.

Five dozens of Technological University students came for an excursion on April 20. Mr.Refat Sabitov, representative of the ICC, showed the around the mosque and the centre and told general information about Islam, its basis and Muslims’ everyday practices as well as peculiarities of their everyday life. The programme, however, wasn’t limited to that, and the guests could ask every question they found interesting and get an extended answer and explanation.

Besides, final grades’ students of Gymnasium #7 visited the Centre today, on April 30, for the same purpose.

Such “en situ” classes help not only to understand some or other religion’s basics in general, but also to meet its adepts, which gives a wonderful opportunity to learn the impact this religion has on people’s views, morals and everyday life.
