A Children’s crafts contest took place at Donetsk Islamic Cultural Centre “Al-Amal” on December 8.

Not many people living beyond the borders of Donetsk region know that roses, as well as coal, are the symbol of this city. Little inhabitants of Donetsk were proposed to make flowers in any technique they preferred: quilling, drawing, painting, origami, application, etc.

All the participants were divided in two categories in order to make the contest fair. Jannet Zots was the best among children aged 3 to 7; Imen Aiassaui won among children aged 7 to 14.

The facilitators, however, gave presents to every participants to encourage them in developing their skills in their favourite crafts technique.
