Id Al-Adha Unites Muslims

Kyiv. – Today in the Islamic Cultural Center at 9am was held festive prayer dedicated to the feast of Eid Al-Adha (Kurban Bayram). The day of sacrifice is celebrated by the Muslims all around the world, praising Lord and sacrificing an animal, following the tradition of the father of prophets Ibrahim.

After the morning prayer the mosque was filled by the words of praising God – Takbir. At 9am the voices faded. The festive prayer started by two rakats, at the end of which Imam of the ICC sheikh Imad Abu-Rrub declared the festive sermon, dwelling upon the importance of the first ten days of the month Zul-Hijja and the merits of the day of sacrifice.

After this Muslims were addressed by the chairman of "Alraid" Ismail Qadi with his warm greetings and reminding to keep in touch with the family and to strive to perform good deeds, as the best example of a Muslim's conduct.

At the end of the prayer, notwithstanding low temperature and snow at the yard of the Islamic Cultural Center Muslims were awaited by gifts, hot drinks and sweets.

The Muslim holiday was not left without attention of the mass-media. Several TV-channels of Ukraine came to report about the feast. They were not left without Muslims' attention, sweets and drinks, too.

In this winter morning Islamic Center was visited by the number of approximately 1200 persons. A lot of Muslims came to the festive prayers with their children. After the prayers they cold be recognized among the numerous people by the colorful balloons given to the children by the end of the prayer. Their joyful voices colored the feast by happiness and delight.

Id Al Adha in Another Cities

Festive prayers were held in all Islamic Centers of "Alraid" in Ukraine.

Id Al Adha is not only a feast and happiness for the believers, but is also a sign of attention and mercy to poor Muslim families of Ukraine.

Following the rulings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) in this year "Alraid" gave out more than 400 adhiya (bodies of the sacrificed animals) to homes and mosques of more than 70 villages of the Crimean peninsula.

In this feast more than 1000 Muslim families felt attention and care from their believing brothers.

Brothers, striving on the way of God in search for knowledge, imams, students of the school for memorizing the Holy Quran in Symferepol were not left without attention, too. "Alraid" done his best to transport the sacrificed in these festive days to the Hafiz school.

All organizations which are included in "Alraid" association followed the noble Sunnah of the Prophet, giving out the aghiya for Muslims in the cities and towns of Ukraine.

Celebrations of the Feast

The happiness of the feast cannot be felt in full without concerts and creative festive events.

"Alraid" participated in organization of creative events in different Ukrainian cities. Turns represented by the participants of the concerts included moral accents and were very useful for young generation. Turns of children were the most beloved to the spectators; they made them smiling and provoked the barrage of applause.

Thousands of Muslim and non-Muslim Ukrainians came to watch the festive programs of children and youth creative collectives.

Festive concerts were visited by the famous politicians and statesmen of Ukraine.

In the organization of the concerts take part a huge number of gifted foreign students. Very often popular youth dance "dabka" becomes the highlight of the evening, "heating" the audience to such an extent that the spectators can hardly stay on their seats.

In this year "Alraid" organized a big concert for orphan children in Symferopol which gathered more than 1000 spectators.

"Alraid" wishes to all Muslims goodness and well-being in their families.

We ask for God's mercy and blessing for the whole our Ummah.
