Kyiv. – On the previous week-end at 1^st and 2^nd of December was held the 8^th conference of the Association "Alraid", in the frames of which was re-elected the head of the Association, was read the report about the two years' work and were held the elections of the members of the inspection commission.

To the general meeting of the member organizations to Kiev Islamic Cultural Center came representatives of 17 out of 19 organizations, which form part of the Ukrainian Association of Social Organizations "Alraid". On the agenda was the approval of the reports for the period of 2005-2007 – financial report, report of the Council about the activity of the Association and report of the chairman of the inspection commission.

There were also held the elections of the head of Association, which should be re-elected every two years. Also the members and the head of the inspection commission were elected.

The conference was opened by the guest of honor – the former head of the Association doctor Farouq Ashur. He reminded to all the present brothers and sisters about the sincerity in the actions of believers, about the preserving of moderation and the golden mean of Islam and about the main aim of the Muslim – achieving the contentment of Allah and Paradise as a result of it.

The leader of the conference Khalil Hijazi gave the first word to the president of "Alraid" doctor Ismail Qadi, in the course of which was read the report of the Association's work in the past two years. All the present were able to get a detailed information about all charitable and cultural events of the Association in different cities of Ukraine. At the same time everyone could ask questions or give their comments to this or that action or event.

As a result of discussion and spoken propositions, the General meeting of the members of the Association, which is the leading body, affirmed the councils of improvement of work in some spheres of "Alraid's" activity. For example, there was affirmed the program of development of the relations with the community of Ukraine and improvement of the level of activity of the female departments of the organization.

The reports' affirming was followed by the elections of the president of the Association. It is worth to remark that they were held transparently in the atmosphere of brotherhood. 20 out of 31 votes scored doctor Ismail Qadi, the present head of the Association. All the other candidates scored less than 5 votes.

The head of the inspection commission had to be re-elected for two times, since no any candidate scored the half of votes. In the second tour among the two candidates was elected doctor Wael Al-Behesi. The members of the inspection commission are Basil Mareei, Shadi Othman, Mohamed Masaadah and Hamza Isa.

The president Ismail Qadi and the elected brothers thanked for the exerted trust, promising, God willing, to come up to expectations and to work in "Alraid" for the sake of goodness of Muslims of Ukraine. There was also expressed a call to all the members of the Association to help to execute the work entrusted, not to forget to keep in touch with them, to advise and to express their opinion to these or that questions concerning to the work of the Association "Alraid".
