Master of Shariah, the principal of The School of Hafiths in Simferopol sheikh Seyran Arifov

April, 10, 2007. Donetsk branch of Federation of social organizations "Arraid", social organization "Al-Amal" and Donetsk state institute of artificial intellect carried out the joint celebratory conference timed to birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). In the conference participated representatives of local authorities, teachers and students of various universities and Donetsk Moslems.

This conference was the fifth and the last action devoted to Mawleed An-Nabi in Donbass. Before the similar meetings took place in Donetsk and Lugansk areas: in Alchevsk (31.03.07), Krasniy Luch (1.04.07), Makeyevka (2.04.07.) and Torez (7.04.07). Almost all of them were carried out in the mosques built with assistance of "Аrraid".

Similar conferences create basis for strengthening of contacts between Moslems and non-Moslems of Ukraine, for change of false stereotypes concerning religious system of Islam and acquaintance of non-Moslems with the personality and noble mission of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and also with Islamic values, the main of them being tolerance. Besides, these conferences are called to inculcate in younger generations of Moslems love to the Prophet and to raise Moslems' pride for their religion.

According to Moslem tradition the conference began with the reading of ayats of the Holy Quran which read Isa-efendy, Imam-khatyb of the mosque "Ahat'-Jami" in Donetsk.

The conference was opened by the head of the center of religious researches and international spiritual relations of Donetsk state institute of artificial intellect I.A.Kozlovsky. He greeted Moslems with the Prophet's birthday and told warm words to the visitors and participants of the conference.

The representative of "Arraid" in Donbass Hamza Isa as a token of gratitude for cooperation gifted to the library the cycle of books about life of the Prophet Muhammad and a souvenir with an emblem of Association.

Congratulations of Donetsk mayor A.A.Lukjanchenko conveyed the main expert of regional administration on affairs of family and youth O.V.Tseselskaja. Mayor of Donetsk has noted that “preservation of unique spiritual heritage, development of interreligious dialogue and cooperation are equally necessary for representatives of all religions who have found the reflection in the development of modern Donetsk”. He also wished everybody “health, well-being, happiness, peace and successes in all good undertakings”. On behalf of the mayor and all Donetsk citizens the representative of "Arraid" in Donbass was handed memorable gift with the arms of Donetsk.

On behalf of the Spiritual center of Moslems of Ukraine Mufti Ruslan-hazrat Abdikeev greeted everybody and wished to follow devotedly Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

On behalf of Donetsk state medical university named after A.M. Horky the participants of the conference were congratulated by E.Yu. Rozhdestvensky.

After congratulations and greetings the gathered watched the video “Salavat to the last Prophet” of the famous Moslem singer Sami Yusuf.

At the conference were delivered three reports. The first speaker was Imam of Kiev Islamic center sheikh Imad. In particular he emphasized importance of love to the Prophet Muhammad and following his Sunnah which is example for all Moslems, and also noted necessity of “cooperation of Moslems and representatives of other religions for the sake of strengthening of interreligious peace”.

Master of Shariah, the principal of The School of Hafiths in Simferopol sheikh Seyran Arifov has told about great mission and moral qualities of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and explained main features of his call to Islam.

Chairman of Donetsk branch of Ukrainian center of Islamic studies Rustam Jabbarov has delivered the report on the topic "Mawleed: history, tradition and modernity" in which he has noted that these actions are aimed at acquaintance of the Ukrainian society with the values of Moslem culture.

After the reports the participants of the conference watched a scientific film "Islam: light which has lit up the world" which acquaints with the history and culture of Islam. Then the participants gathered at the buffet table where they could communicate in warm and easy atmosphere.
