In Honour of Maulud An-Nabi in Eastern Regions of Ukraine were Held Meetings under the Title “Mercy for the Worlds”
Donetsk. - All-Ukrainian Association of Social Organizations “Alraid” together with Social Organization “Al-Amal” held festive meetings in honour of Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) birthday in the mosques of different places of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. In them participated representatives of local authorities, teachers and students from different universities and Donetsk fellow Muslims.
On Friday (4.04.08) in the city of Torez in Donetsk region took place fifth final meeting dedicated to Maulud An-Nabi in Donbass. Before it similar meetings were held in Mariupol (19.03.08), Krasniy Luch (21.03.07.), Snezhnoe (29.03.07.) and Donetsk (30.03.07.). Almost all of them were held in mosques which were built with the help of “Alraid”.
Meetings like that create the basis for strengthening of contacts between Muslims and non-Muslims of Ukraine, for changing false stereotypes concerning religious system of Islam and getting non-Muslims acquainted with personality and noble mission of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Islamic values, the most important of them being tolerance. Moreover, such events aim at encouraging the feeling of love to the Prophet in younger generations of Muslims and at raising the feeling of pride for their religion.
