Donetsk department of All-Ukrainian Association of Social Organizations “Alraid” together with Social Organization “Al-Amal” held festive meetings in honour of Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) birthday in the mosques of different places of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. In them participated representatives of local authorities, teachers and students from different universities and Donetsk fellow Muslims.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said in one of his hadith, “In Paradise I will be the same close to orphan’s guardian”. Following this hadith, the direction of “Alraid” worked out a project of orphans’ maintenance who receive monthly material support. At that time in the Islamic Cultural Center of Simferopol gathered about 700 orphan children from different regions of the Crimean peninsula.

On 9th of March in the conference-hall of Kyiv Islamic Cultural Center Female Social Organization “Maryam” together with Social Organization “An-Nour” held traditional spring conference under the title “Woman of the Future…”

In the capital of the Crimean peninsula was opened one more building of Islamic Cultural Center. Now the whole complex consists of three buildings.

At 20th of February in Simferopol in the building of Islamic Cultural Center took place conference on the topic: “Cultural-Civilizational Dialogue of the Peoples of Crimea: History and Perspectives”. The event was organized by the Crimean department of Institute of Oriental Studies of NAS of Ukraine and All-Ukrainian Association of Social Organizations “Alraid”.

In Simferopol Islamic Culture Center took place training program under the project “Get Acquainted with Islam” on the topic “Islam without Extremes and Stereotypes”. On the meeting were present about 30 persons: university lecturers, teachers, journalists. The training program was initiated by “Alraid” Association, which conducted similar events in other regions of Ukraine, too.

Under the leadership of female department of “Alraid” and local social organization “Al-Masar” in the city of Odessa took part culturally-educational conference “Woman’s Role in Call”. On the meeting were discussed the questions of woman’s activity on the way of call, how it is necessary to value and to use properly one’s time and sisters’ relations in Islam. Among the spectators were university students, students of a Sunday school and local Muslim women.

In Kyiv Islamic Social Cultural Center took place the welcoming meeting of the pilgrims, who safely returned from Hajj and brought with them memorable prize for the perfect observance of the rules of Hajj in this year.

Donetsk. – Donetsk mayor Aleksandr Lukyanchenko handed the head of "Al-Amal" organization doctor Yusuf Hamaratsche and the representative of "Alraid' doctor Hamza Isa memorable deed of gratitude for active participation in the development of Donetsk society and charity.

Today in the Islamic Cultural Center at 9am was held festive prayer dedicated to the feast of Eid Al-Adha (Kurban Bayram). The day of sacrifice is celebrated by the Muslims all around the world, praising Lord and sacrificing an animal, following the tradition of the father of prophets Ibrahim.
