Simferopol, November, 14. – In Crimea took place a scientific practical conference which discussed the questions of education of young people in realities of Ukrainian society. Realizing the role of education of the rising generation in the building of a healthy society, representatives of public, religious and governmental organizations of Crimea met for the discussion of sore problems.

The initiators of the meeting were the Supreme soviet of the AR of Crimea, Department of education and science of the ARC Tavricheskiy national Vernadskiy university, and also the all-Ukrainian association of public organizations "Alraid". Conference under the title "Spiritual and Moral Education of Youth: Actual Questions of Theory and Practice" was conducted in the building of Islamic cultural center of Simferopol.

In the conference participated 50 persons, including school teachers, leaders of regional organs of education management, scholars, methodists, practicing teachers from the regions of Ukraine and Crimea.

The conference targeted at unification of representatives of different confessions, public organizations, political figures for the establishment of development and strengthening of high spiritual and moral qualities in multinational society of Crimea.

More than 50 reports related to the main questions of creation and realization of the single systems of education at regional level were listened to.

Different topics were offered for a discussion, such as infant delinquency and its prophylaxis, influence of western and eastern cultures on education of young people, moral education in public and spiritual institutions, moral family education, gender relations in the light of spiritual education of youth.

It was also offered to discuss the teaching of bases of orthodox and Islamic cultures in secondary schools of Crimea on the basis of pedagogical experience.

The reports of representatives of different confessions testified to the desire of participants to solve sore and actual problems together.

Representative of Ukrainian orthodox church, Kiev patriarchy, father Vasiliy, the secretary of Vladyka Lazar, metropolitan of Simferopol and Crimea, touched upon the question of mass-media influence on education of young people. "Nowadays mass-media exercises a very strong influence on youth, in particular through alcohol and cigarettes advertising, and encouragement of amoral conduct". The metropolitan also noted that, "Moral values of orthodox Christians and Moslems are similar". Therefore, according to his opinion, it is necessary to unite all our efforts for education of young people for the social betterment.

Mufti of Crimea Emirali Ablaev called to stop endless discussions of problems and start to solve them practically. In particular, he insisted that results of the conference should be used in a program of further work under development of spiritual education of young people in multinational society of the Crimean peninsula.

In the lecture "Spiritual and Moral Education of Orthodox Culture» Taisiya Titova, professor of the Department of economic theories, philosophy and political science of Crimean juridical institute, suggested to create general republican program of teaching in schools and institutes, which would engulf both bases of orthodoxy and Islam. For this purpose, in her opinion, it is necessary to publish the educational methodological program and to create a constantly operating seminar on the culture of orthodoxy and Islam for teachers.

Seyran Arifov, Headmaster of the school of Khafiz, vice-chairman of "Alraid" on educational work, lectured on the topic "Problems of Spiritual and Moral Education of Youth in Islam". He highlighted that the main sources of this education are the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunna, therefore, the personality of a young Moslem in a great deal depends on his religious education, which he can get in a family, in a mosque or madrasa, and also in educational establishments.

Victor Gankevich, doctor of historical sciences, professor of Department of history of Ukraine and auxiliary historical disciplines of Tavricheskiy National University, in the report "Crimean madrasa as the Centers of Islamic Spirituality", mentioned some facts from the history of Crimea and showed that madrasa played a key role in education of young people. He wanted to pay a regard that the increase of amount a madrasa in Crimea will positively influence on education of local Moslem youth.

The participants of the conference were greeted by the head of "Alraid" Ismail Qadi who reminded the well-known saying of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), "I was sent to perfect morality", and also "Best from you are those who are of the best disposition". In this way he emphasized the key role of morality in education of one's personality.

Reports were read out in the Ukrainian and Russian languages, that testified to the tolerant atmosphere. The secret motto of the conference was respect to the other cultures, religions and traditions of numerous people which live together in the Crimean peninsula.

At the end of the conference was made a resolution, in which the participants unanimously mark that the future of Ukraine and its place in the world community depends on the moral orientation of the rising generation, their literacy, knowledge and practical skills. On the results of the conference organizers plan to edit a collection of scientific reports.
