The international conference which gathered representatives of Islam, Christianity and Judaism took place in the capital of Ukraine. Organizers and participants of the international dialogue aimed at promotion of ideas of tolerance, inviolability of human life and religious consent. At two-day conference, on April 25 and 26, were expressed the most different visions of the question of interconfessional dialogue, its place and role in the task of eradication of violence and extremism in the modern world.

Donetsk branch of Federation of social organizations "Arraid", social organization "Al-Amal" and Donetsk state institute of artificial intellect carried out the joint celebratory conference timed to birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). In the conference participated representatives of local authorities, teachers and students of various universities and Donetsk Moslems.

We, Muslims and Islamic scholars of Ukraine, are shocked by publications of the newspaper Jyllands-Posten and think that any mass-media replication of the materials of such kind is an inadmissible demonstration of religious intolerance

The independent Federation of Social Organizations Arraid is registered on 7 February 1997. It is a confederation of nine organizations located in different cities of Ukraine: Kiev, Kharkov, Odessa, Donetsk, Simferopol, Lugansk, Lvov, Vinnitsa and Zaporozhye. In its head office in Kiev are about 30 persons working in different departments.

Four Ukrainian women have reverted to Islam with the start of the holy fasting month of Ramadan in the eastern European country.

Breaking their fast together on collective iftar banquets, performing Tarawih prayer and reciting verses from the Noble Qur'an are but some of the activities with which Muslims in Ukraine busy themselves during the holy month of Ramadan, attracting a curious local media.

Fifteen Ukrainian youth embraced Islam, highlighting the spread of the faith in the former Soviet republic, with the efforts of the Islamic bodies in the country achieving tangible results.

Leaving for a journey under the principles and concern of the poor and the needy, The Federation of the Social Organizations ARRAID stood up for humanitarian aid hence visiting one of the orphanages in Hay Stronogovka in the city of Simferopol, Ukraine. The Orphanage cares for almost 130 orphans aged between 2-6 years who are all U Ukrainians and non-Muslims.

The Muslims praying in The Kiev Islamic Centre always count that a week or a maximum of two weeks don’t pass without at least one Ukrainian adopting Islam in front of them, be it a man or a woman.

In the first religious event of its kind in the former Soviet republic, a Ukrainian Muslim student memorized the Noble Qur’an, the first case after long decades of persecution against the Muslim minority in the country under the Communist rule.
